Namaste friends! Welcome to my blog site💕

I have a passion outdoor yoga. Some of you may know this. The breezy air. The fiery sun. The humidity before it rains. The blast of cold on a grassy field. The blue, cloudless sky that makes me dizzy when I look up into the heavens. I feel connected to God, to nature and my inner-being when I practice outside. I feel gratitude flow. Yoga has a spiritual aspect, which can be tuned into more and more as you grow in the practice. Let it be God, the Universe, higher consciousness, or any other religious belief. My belief is in God.

There are many different ways someone can experience yoga. The choices are many...but ultimately the choice must meet you where you are and bring honor to yourself. I have come to see and realize the magical possibilities in yoga practice, for each person in their own way. Each one of us has our own unique presentation and we do not feel things the same. I truly adore the student who is new to the experience. New to the concepts of moving in different ways that feel foreign to them. Breathing with mindful intention and turning their focus toward themselves with loving-kindness and gratitude for a body that allows them to get up daily. Growth occurs in all students of this practice, but the experience can be strong with new students. Resetting your nervous system is a high priority for all of us these days...

Learning to feel off balance leads to this growth. Instability becomes stability when it's challenged. We wobble and step out of poses with regularity. Some days you feel like you're always falling over. Gravity is always pulling at us. This balance ebbs and flows with the days. Strength comes with the days...focus and awareness come with the days. Balance outside is a fun challenge (we don't always have to be serious!)...the rocky plateau, the un-level grassy field. Growth.

The picture below was taken right before I fell over from the freezing wind. I wanted my gloves so badly!! It was 33* outside. I wish my teacher would have taken THAT photo! It is realistic of life- everyday. Perfection is all an illusion. And we are all loved by God in spite of our imperfections.

How do you find yourself growing this month? Perhaps it is not a welcomed form of growth. However, you may find yourself in this space for the long haul. One day, you will benefit someone with your experience.

Blessings and Peace,

Jen
