Holding on. It's what we all do. Whether to the soft, old sweater or the the painful memory of the past. The season of fall invites us to let go of what doesn't serve us anymore, but could help someone else. Making space, either physically in your closet or home, to making spaciousness in your mind and heart...

Our hearts are a huge part of feeling free and in balance. It is common in our society to not let others see how we feel. We offer rote lines of well-being and strength. When the truth is, we need a compassionate listening ear, a friend, a stranger, to hear our story and not judge or offer platitudes.

Yoga is a way that we begin to find freedom in our mind, heart and spirit. Connecting with a deeper sense of who we are; that we are always whole and always enough, in any given moment. I invite you to survey your personal surroundings, and then excavate a bit into your heart. What is lying there that can be gently offered to another? What is buried deep in the closet (or heart) that with a little thoughtful delayering, you can create more ease and freedom to breathe?

What can you let fall away this season? Place it on a leaf and let it blow away...
